Virgin Trains to continue running West Coast Mainline

Virgin Trains is set to continue running services on the West Coast Mainline for at least another nine months after an announcement by the Department for Transport this morning.
The DfT has said Virgin Trains will remain the West Coast Mainline operator for between nine and 13 months, before another competition is run to find out who will run the line on an interim basis. The details of when a new franchise agreement will be ready is not yet known.

The Rolling Stones Return!


Ladies and Gentlemen they are back!

The most eagerly anticipated concerts of 2012 are announced today as the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band, The Rolling Stones, confirm their long awaited return to the stage with four spectacular arena shows in London and New York. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood at last revealed their return to live work.

Are you scared of going into space?


At the recent Farnborough International Airshow we took the opportunity to grab a selection of Virgin Galactic's future astronauts, quizzing them on all things space. 

The one thing that all the astronauts seemed to have in common was a keen sense of adventure, just take a look at their reactions when we asked them if they'd be scared of going into space!

Virgin Australia begin Wi-Fi testing


From October, Virgin Australia will begin to test WiFi on board – beaming movies, TV shows and music to the aircraft's fitted Samsung Galaxy tablets. 

Soon after, passengers will be able to log on via their own tablets, laptops and smartphones.
